V-Day's 10th anniversary recognized through award-winning play

The 10-year anniversary of “V-Day” will be recognized at Pittsburg State University through two performances of the award-winning play “The Vagina Monologues.”

The performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9, in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom at the Overman Student Center. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for non-students, funds that will be donated to the Crisis Resource Center. The performances are being sponsored by the PSU Women’s Studies Club.

An international movement to end violence against women and children, V-Day was celebrated through more than 3,000 events last year alone. To date, the movement has raised more than $50 million.
